ENTORNO NATURAL / NATURAL ENVIRONMENT
La región del Barbanza tiene un gran atractivo turístico, tanto por sus playas como por el valor cultural, ecológico y paisajístico de su entorno. La Sierra del Barbanza, el Parque Dunar de Corrubedo y la Lagoa de Carregal, o los diferentes faros y miradores como el Faro de Corrubedo o el Mirador da Pedra da Ra son algunos de los lugares más visitados en el entorno del Camping Coroso.
The Barbanza region is itself a great tourist attraction, both for its beaches and for the value of cultural, ecological and landscape of its surroundings. The Sierra del Barbanza, the Dune Park of Corrubedo and the Lagoon of Carregal, as well as the different lighthouses and scenic lookouts such as the Corrubedo lighthouse or the Mirador Pedra da Rá, are some of the most visited places in the surroundings of Camping Coroso.
PESCA Y CULTURA MARINA / FISHING AND SEA CULTURE
Existen numerosas opciones para conocer la Ría de Arosa desde el mar. Desde el Puerto de Ribeira parten varios paseos en barco que navegan la ría y visitan las conocidas bateas de mejillón. La actividad del puerto y de las lonjas de Aguiño y de Riveira también son de especial interés tanto para turistas como locales.
There are numerous options to explore the Ría de Arosa from the sea. Several boat trips that sail the Ría de Arosa and visit the famous mussel rafts depart from the port of Ribeira. The selling of fish in the fish markets known as “lonjas” in Riveira and Aguiño is also of special interest for both tourists and locals.
GASTRONOMIA / GASTRONOMY
Galicia es mundialmente conocida por su rica variedad gastronómica. La proximidad al mar del Barbanza y las características únicas del agua de la Ría de Arosa hace de esta zona un lugar único en el que degustar el marisco y pescado gallego. Durante el verano se celebran numerosas fiestas gastronómicas en la región. Destacan entre ellas la Fiesta del Marisco de Pobra do Caramiñal, la Fiesta del Percebe en Aguiño, la Fiesta del Pulpo en Palmeira, la Fiesta de la Xouba en Rianxo o la Exaltación del Mejillón de Galicia en Boiro.
Galicia is worldwide known for its rich cuisine. The proximity to the sea and the unique waters of the Ria de Arosa makes of this area a unique place in which to taste the Galician seafood and fish. During the summer numerous gastronomic festivals are held in the region. Amongst them are the Shellfish Festival of Pobra do Caramiñal, the Barnacle Festival in Aguiño, the Octopus Festival in Palmeira, the Feast of Mackerel in Rianxo and the Festival of the Galician Mussel in Boiro.
actividades nauticas / NAUTICAL ACTIVITIES
En las inmediaciones de la playa de Coroso se encuentran varias empresas que ofrecen actividades náuticas como surf, windsurf, kayak, kitesurf,... Éstas ofrecen cursos de iniciación semanales, de fin de semana, individuales, alquiler de material, etc… Se ofrecen también cursos y rutas de buceo con salidas programadas a diferentes zonas de la Ría de Arosa.
In the vicinity of the beach of Coroso there are several companies that offer water sports like sailing, surfing, windsurfing, kayaking, kitesurfing, ... They offer introductory courses and individual equipment rentals. They also offer courses and diving trips with scheduled departures to different areas of the Ría de Arosa.
RESTOS ARQUEOLOGICOS / ARCHAEOLOGICAL REMAINS
Existen numerosos restos arqueológicos en el entorno del Camping Coroso. El Dolmen de Axeitos es uno de los monumentos megalíticos de España que destaca tanto por su perfecto estado como por su antigüedad (data del 3600-4000 AC). El Castro da Cidá es otro de los atractivos de la zona, que presenta los restos de un antiguo asentamiento celta.
There are numerous archaeological remains in the region surrounding Camping Coroso. The Dolmen of Axeitos is one of the megalithic monuments of Spain and stands out for its perfect state of conservation as well as for its age (it is dated between 3600-4000 BC). The Castro da Cidá is another attraction of the area, featuring the remains of an ancient Celtic settlement.
MUSICA Y FIESTAS TRADICIONALES / MUSIC AND TRADITIONAL FESTIVALS
La programación cultural de verano en el Barbanza es numerosa y amplia, abarcando desde actividades para niños a conciertos, muestras de música y danza, artesanía, … Son numerosas las fiestas que organizan las parroquias en Verano, como la famosa Dorna en Riveira, las Fiestas del Carmen de Aguiño, la Fiesta del Turista en Corrubedo, la Fiesta del Emigrante en Palmeira, los Festivales de Verano de Artes, Olveira, Carreira, Oleiros, Castiñeiras… o las patronales de Santa Uxía, Santa Tecla o San Paio.
The Summer Cultural Program in the Barbanza is rich all encompassing, ranging from children's activities to concerts, festivals of music and dance, crafts, ... There are also numerous parties organized by the local parishes in the summer such as the famous Festa da Dorna in Riveira, the Festa do Carmen in Aguiño, Festa do Turista in Corrubedo, Festa do Emigrante in Palmeira, the Summer Festivals in Artes, Olveira, Carreira, Oleiros, Castiñeiras ... as well as those dedicated to the patrons of each of the seaside towns: Santa Eugenia, Santa Tecla or San Pelayo.
